Imphal, Aug 28: Assam Rifles, in coordination with Manipur Police, CRPF, local villagers and the area MLA, safely traced a 26-year-old woman who had been missing since August 25 and reunited her with her family.

Mrs Ngangbam Nanao Devi was located near Sangaithel in Imphal West in the early hours of August 27 following sustained search efforts by the joint teams. The operation involved extensive ground searches supported by drones and sniffer dogs to cover difficult and potentially inaccessible areas.
The woman was found at around 6 am in a safe and stable condition. Following her recovery, the security personnel provided her with the necessary assistance before facilitating her reunion with her family.
The coordinated operation involved close cooperation between security forces, police personnel and the local community. The participation of villagers and the local MLA played an important role in strengthening the search effort and ensuring wider coverage of the area.
The successful recovery brought relief to the woman's family and brought the search operation to a safe conclusion after nearly two days of uncertainty.
The operation also highlighted the importance of technology-enabled searches and community participation in responding to missing-person cases, particularly in areas where difficult terrain and limited accessibility can complicate conventional search efforts.
