Assam Rifles trains 44 Agniveer aspirants

Churachandpur , Sep 16: The Assam Rifles successfully concluded a pre-training programme for Agniveer aspirants at Veng in Churachandpur district of Manipur, aimed at preparing young candidates for the upcoming recruitment process.

The training programme was conducted from July 16 to September 15, during which 44 male candidates underwent structured preparation focused on physical fitness, basic military orientation, discipline and guidance aligned with the Agniveer selection process.
The programme was designed to help the aspirants improve their physical endurance and overall preparedness ahead of the recruitment rally. Training sessions focused on developing fitness levels while familiarising the candidates with the discipline and basic requirements associated with military service.
The aspirants were also provided guidance on various aspects of the selection process, enabling them to approach the recruitment rally with greater awareness and confidence.
The initiative sought to build not only physical strength but also resilience, discipline and self-confidence among the participating youth. Regular training and structured guidance provided the candidates with an opportunity to identify areas requiring improvement and work towards meeting the prescribed standards.
The successful completion of the programme reflects the Assam Rifles' continued efforts to engage with local youth and support them in pursuing career opportunities through the armed forces.
The initiative is also aimed at encouraging greater participation of young people from the region in the Agniveer recruitment process by providing them with a supportive training environment and practical guidance.
