Assam Rifles units celebrate Raising Day

Shillong, Sep 15: Director General Assam Rifles Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, along with all ranks of the force, extended greetings and best wishes to the personnel of Headquarters 10 Sector Assam Rifles, 24 Assam Rifles, 28 Assam Rifles and No. 3 MGAR on the occasion of their Raising Day.

The occasion marks the service and achievements of these formations and units, which have contributed to the Assam Rifles’ operational responsibilities and its efforts to maintain security and stability in the Northeast.
The units have played an important role in supporting security operations while maintaining close engagement with local communities in their respective areas of responsibility.
Extending his greetings, Lt Gen Lakhera conveyed his appreciation to all ranks for their dedication, professionalism and commitment to duty. He also acknowledged the contribution of serving personnel and veterans whose efforts have strengthened the operational effectiveness and traditions of the force.
The Director General wished the formations and units continued success and urged all ranks to uphold the high standards of discipline, courage and service associated with the Assam Rifles.
