
Srinagar, April 22: Director, Accounts and Treasuries (A&T) Kashmir, Imtiyaz Ahmad Wani, today visited Additional Treasury, Tankipora Srinagar to review its functioning and assess service delivery mechanisms.
He emphasised the need for citizen-friendly and efficient mechanisms particularly for critical public services, like hassle free payment of pension from the treasury and banks, and reviewed facilities such as accessibility, seating arrangements, and overall ease of service. The Director also interacted with pensioners to obtain feedback.
During the visit, he assessed financial governance, IT interventions, computerisation, and staff attendance. He stressed the importance of transparency, discipline, and effective use of technology to further improve public service delivery.
