As part of the ongoing Drug Free Jammu and Kashmir campaign, an awareness drive was today organised in Panchayat Khonmoh B on the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat.
The programme was aimed at sensitizing the local population, especially the youth, about the ill effects of drug abuse and the importance of a healthy and addiction-free society.
Block Development Officer Khonmoh along with officials from various line departments participated in the event.
Speakers on the occasion emphasized community responsibility in tackling substance abuse and encouraged youth to engage in constructive and positive activities.
Pamphlets were also distributed, and interactive sessions were held to engage the participants and spread the message regarding ill effects of drug menace among the masses effectively
