
Dimapur, Oct 7: Assam Rifles organised a visit of Board Members of Axis Bank to the Capt N Kenguruse, MVC Centre of Excellence and Wellness at Chieswema, Kohima District on 07 October 2025. The event was aimed at further strengthening the ongoing collaboration between Assam Rifles, Axis Bank and NIEDO in nurturing and empowering the youth of Nagaland through education, personality development and holistic wellness initiatives.
The visiting dignitaries included Mr. N.S. Vishwanath, Chairman (Non-Executive) and former Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India and Ms. Meena Ganesh, Independent Director and accomplished business leader, accompanied by Mr. Abhejit Agarwal, Head CSR & Sustainability and Mr. Wilfred Barboza, Vice President CSR & Sustainability, Axis Bank. The NIEDO delegation comprised Dr. Rohit Srivastava, Managing Director & CEO and Dr. Vivek Talwar, Executive Director & COO.
The programme commenced with a welcome address and felicitation of dignitaries by students of the Centre, followed by cultural performances showcasing the rich traditions of Nagaland. Opening remarks were delivered by Commandant, Chieswema Battalion, followed by addresses by the visiting dignitaries highlighting the importance of education, discipline and social responsibility.
Brigadier Samir K Palande, Deputy Inspector General, IGAR (North), graced the event and interacted with the guests and students. Exchange of mementoes between Assam Rifles, Axis Bank and NIEDO marked the occasion. The b dignitaries later interacted with students, faculty and parents during a high tea session and undertook a guided tour of the Centre’s facilities.
The visit reinforced Assam Rifles’ commitment towards nation-building through constructive civil-military partnerships and sustained engagement in youth-centric welfare initiatives across Nagaland.
