
A woman, who was critically injured in a grenade attack on crowded Sunday Market in Srinagar on November 3 succumbed to injuries on Tuesday.
Aabida , 39, a resident of Naidkhai Sumbal in Bandipora was critically injured in the grenade attack at the crowded Sunday Market near TRC in Srinagar on November 3 in which a total of 12 persons were injured.
Besides Aabida, 50-year- old Habibullah Rather of Kaloosa Bandipora was also critically wounded in the attack
“Aabida remained under treatment in SMHS hospital all these days and succumbed to injuries today morning,” said a senior official.
Aabida is survived by husband, who is a school teacher, and three children.
J&K police last week claimed that it solved the grenade attack case.
On November 8, police announced the arrest of three accused associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba who were responsible for the attack. The three arrested were identified by police as Osama Yasin Sheikh, Umar Fayaz Sheikh and Afnan Mansoor Sheikh, all residents of Ikhraj Pora Srinagar.
According to IGP Kashmir, police investigations have found that the accused were acting under the direction of two terrorist handlers of Pakistan based LeT.
