Baramulla, Mar 24: The District Baramulla Carrom Championship 2025–26 was formally declared open today by Showkat Ahmad Manager Sports Stadium Khawaja Bagh Baramula and Dawar Rashid Secretary J&K Carrom Association, at the Indoor Sports Stadium Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla.

The championship is being organized by the District Baramulla Carrom Association under the auspices of the Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association. The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of around 140 players from across the district.
Competitions are being held in four categories — Cadet (Under-12), Sub-Junior (Under-14), Junior (Under-18), and Senior — for both boys and girls, men and women, reflecting strong grassroots engagement in the sport of Carrom.
Among others present on the occasion were Zubaida Ahad Organizing Secretary of this Championship and Irfan Ahmad Secretary District Bandipora Carrom Association along with several office bearers of the District Baramulla Carrom Association and the Jammu & Kashmir Carrom Association.
The organizers expressed satisfaction over the large participation and reiterated their commitment to promoting carrom at the district level while providing a competitive platform for young and aspiring players.
