Baramulla, Dec 26: The 6th District Baramulla Taekwondo Championships began today at the JKSC Indoor Sports Complex Khwajabagh Baramulla. Organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Baramulla under the aegis of J&K Sports Council and J&K Taekwondo Association, the event sees over 130 athletes competing in Sub Junior, Junior, and Senior categories.

DIG North Kashmir Shri Maqsood ul Zaman (IPS) graced the opening ceremony as Chief Guest, with Ms Neha Jain (IPS) as Guest of Honour. The championship is supported by J&K Taekwondo Association, J&K Sports Council and Warm Up Electric Hamam (Baramulla).
Shri Maqsood Ul Zaman congratulated all athletes and the organizing committee for hosting this wonderful event.
"The event is a testament to the growing talent in Taekwondo in the district," said Adv Neelofar Masood, Vice President, JKTA, thanking Secretary Sports Council Ms Nuzhat Gul for her support.
In the Referee Panel Suhail Ahmed Khan (National Referee), Hashim Majeed (National Referee), Mohsin Ali ( SR), Mumtaz Nazir ( Organizing Secretary), Abrar Ibni Akbar (SR).The championships conclude tomorrow.
