Baramulla, Mar 24: A shopkeeper was injured after an inverter battery explosion at a provisional store in the Nanak Bhawan area of Baramulla on Tuesday, causing significant damage to the shop and its contents.

The incident occurred at Maqbool Provisional Store, where the blast left the shopkeeper, identified as Towseef Wani, injured. He was immediately evacuated from the site and shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Soon after the explosion, teams from the police, Army, and Fire & Emergency Services rushed to the spot and launched a prompt response operation. The injured was safely evacuated, and the situation was brought under control to prevent any further escalation.
Officials said the blast caused extensive damage to the shop, with a large quantity of stock destroyed in the incident.
Authorities have taken cognisance of the incident, and further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact cause of the blast.
