Bhaderwah , March 24: In a life-changing moment, a youth from Bhaderwah namely Sagar Bhagat S/o Jaswant Raj R/o Vasuki Vihar Rainda link road has won ₹1 crore as prize money from a virtual gaming platform called Dream11. He received the prize money after forming a “dream team” on the fantasy gaming app. The participants win points based on the players’ performance during the live match. Based on the points, the winners get their prize money. Sagar won the award after trying his luck during the IPL Match . Sagar said, I was sleeping in a deep sleep late yesterday night. Some of my friends called me and told that I have come first on Dream-11. He also said that he was stunned and surprised when also received a message from the app that he had won one crore rupees. Expectedly, he is very happy after the win. He has now turned into a local star after his win created a buzz. Sagar shared that he has been trying to win big since 2022 . He said that this money will help his family a lot. For him, winning this money is like a dream come true. When Sagar was asked what he would do with this money, he said that he would consult with parents and then invest the money . During his gaming journey he has both lost and won thousands of rupees. He is presently pursuing his B.Tech from Chandigarh . Besides his studies, he is interested in playing cricket. However there is a celebration at the residence of Sagar where local people are visiting to congratulate him . A local social activist Mohd Majid Malik said it is a moment of pride for Bhaderwah as the same has made the area famous and Bhaderwahis are known for dedication and hard work and luck also favours those who take risk at their own cost . He also said that the parents should allow their children to try their luck on platforms such as Dream11. “One should try his luck once in a while because if it goes in the right direction, your life is set,” he said.
