Armageddon as per New Testament is the place where the kings of the earth under demonic leadership will wage war on the forces of God at the end of history. Armageddon is mentioned only once in the holy book of Bible in the Revelation to John or the Apocalypse of St. John. But it is very true as for as the conditions and circumstances in the world are concerned. Due to the unfortunate war between the super power Russia and less Known country Ukraine and the prolonging of the war and the threatening of Russia not to hesitate to use of atomic weapons of mass destruction are enough to deduce that the world today is on the brink of disaster because of the threat of the atomic war because of the clashes between Russia and Ukraine and more so because of the rivalry and clashes between Russia and world cop America and the western world ,European countries, NATO and the extraterritorial ambitions of dragon China.
All these countries are at clash among themselves and there is race for possessing atomic weapons and also to use them when the situation demands. In fact the clouds of the nuclear war are hovering over the sky and at any time in near future the third world war will engulf the world and it will definitely be an atomic war which will result in the total annihilation of the human race and the universe and in this way the biblical prophecy of Armageddon will turn into reality and thus the destruction of the universe is the foregone conclusion. The Palestinian city of Megiddo, located on a pass commanding a road connecting Egypt and Syria was probably chosen as a symbol for such a battle, because it had been the scene of many military encounters owing to its strategic location.
Megiddo was also the site of a crucial battle in 1918 during the First World War and lent its name to the victor –Lord Allenby of Megiddo. The term Armageddon has often been used by the Protestant fundamentalists to refer to an impending cataclysmic struggle between the forces of good and evil. It has also been used figuratively, often by peace activists, to describe a possible nuclear world war. Armageddon is the site or time of a final and conclusive battle between the forces of good and evil. It is the battle taking place at Armageddon and is usually vast decisive conflict or confrontation which will lead to the annihilation of the universe and the humanity. The conditions and conflicts and wars which are going on in the world between the countries lends credence to the biblical prophecy of Armageddon which means the total destruction of the world by atomic war and the atomic world war is imminent and it may broke any time in near future.
The battle of Armageddon is the great battle mentioned in Revelation, that takes place in the Last Days before the new heaven and the new earth. One section in the Bible seems to have captured the attention of Christians and non Christians alike and that is the battle of Armageddon. The phrase itself conjures images in pop culture that are associated with the end of the universe .Armageddon one can surmise is the great battle –the last battle that takes place in the Last Days before the new heaven and earth. The actual word for Armageddon only appears once in Bible. Even though most of the New Testament is written in Greek, this comes from Hebrew word which means, Mount Megiddo. Although Armageddon may seem decades or centuries away, we do not know the hour when Jesus will return nor when the revelations will take place. In the battle called Armageddon the enemy will try to intimidate Christians. He will pull people from four corners of the earth .Kings will side with him and they will attempt to annihilate God’s people. The enemy cannot form an obstacle big enough to prevent God from acting. Just as he overcame the enemy on that very same location during the time of Barak and Deborah ,he will do the same in the End Days. It is not only in the Christian scriptures that the prophecy of the end of the universe is made but other great religions And their scriptures also give more or less same prophecies about the end of the universe.
The Sanatan Dharma that is erroneously called Hindu Dharma also makes prophecy about the end of the universe. According to Hindu scriptures at the end Kalanki Avtar that is the last incarnation of the God will appear and destroy the world and the annihilation of the human race will take place. As per Hindu scriptures plague, famines, pestilence, and natural calamities will appear. People will not believe in one another, falsehood will win disputes and brothers will become avaricious. As each age progresses, the human life span will decrease ,starting from thousands of years in Satya Yuga to 100 years in the current Kali Yuga .Seemingly the universe will come to end at the end of Brahma’s life but the Brahma’s too are innumerable , and a new universe is reborn with each new Brahma. Another myth emphasizes the destructive aspect of time.
Time ripens the creatures and Time rots them. Kalikin, also called Kaliki, the final avatar –incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu who is yet to appear. At the end of the present Kali yuga-age when virtue and dharma will disappear and the world is ruled by the unjust ,Kalkin will appear to destroy the wicked and usher new age. Kalki also called Kalkin or Karki is the prophesied tenth and final incarnation of god Vishnu and he will destroy the universe and the human race will come to end. In Islamic doctrine on the Last Day when the world will end the dead will be resurrected and a judgment will be pronounced on every person in accordance with his deeds.
The signs of the End Times are –senseless immorality would prevail, unnatural phenomenon’s would occur. As per Quran the Last Day event will happen in this sequence-Big Freeze ,then Big Rip and lastly Big Crunch. All the great religions of the world have more or less same prophecies about the end of the universe .To conclude we can say that the biblical prophecy may turn true as the world is sitting on a volcano of atom bombs and a single button will lead to the annihilation of the universe and the human race and in future Armageddon will take place and annihilate the universe. The circumstances and the conditions as are obtained today in the world clearly point towards the fact that the world is fast moving towards the atomic and nuclear war which will be the end of the universe and the humankind and thus the prophecy of the Bible may turn true so for its prophecy of Armageddon that is the end of the universe is concerned. But other great religions of Islam and Hinduism also have true prophesies about the end of the universe and therefore these prophesies will also turn true because we can say that all religions have more or less same prophesies about the end of the universe. Whatever it is the universe is bound to be annihilated in future because one who is born will definitely die one day and so annihilation of the world is imminent.
