Lucknow, Aug 8: A strong pro-BJP message resonated in Lucknow ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, with a workers’ conference organised by World Peace Harmony witnessing calls for the formation of a BJP government under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for a third consecutive term.
The conference, held in Mohanlalganj, was organised by Rishi Mishra, while World Peace Harmony founder Haji Shakeel Saifi addressed the gathering. Hundreds of supporters welcomed Saifi at Amausi Airport with drumbeats before he reached the venue in a convoy of around 50 vehicles.
The atmosphere turned energetic as thousands of workers associated with the Bharatiya Kisan Kranti Union raised slogans in support of Saifi and Yogi Adityanath. During the event, the farmers’ organisation also announced Saifi as its patron.
Addressing the gathering, Saifi highlighted what he described as the achievements of the BJP governments at the Centre and in Uttar Pradesh over the past decade. He particularly pointed to the expansion of the state’s road infrastructure and expressway network under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.
“Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari has laid a vast network of expressways across UP. Today, Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of expressways in the country. Farmers’ produce now reaches the market within hours,” Saifi said.
He also praised the governments’ development and welfare initiatives, invoking the slogan of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” and claiming that the principles of inclusive development and the rule of law had been strengthened in the state.
Saifi said investment was increasing in Uttar Pradesh and argued that these developments would form the basis of the BJP’s electoral campaign in 2027.
With the election still ahead, he urged workers to intensify grassroots outreach and reach every household to explain government schemes and programmes. He also called upon party supporters and allied organisations to counter what he termed misinformation propagated by the opposition.
“2027 is not far off. Go door-to-door. Inform people about the government’s schemes,” he told the gathering, urging workers to work towards securing a strong mandate for Yogi Adityanath.
The workers present at the conference pledged to visit villages and communicate the achievements and welfare schemes of both the Central and Uttar Pradesh governments to the public.
The conference indicates that political mobilisation for the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections is beginning to gather momentum, with organisations supportive of the BJP stepping up grassroots engagement well ahead of the electoral battle.
