
B.R.A. Bihar University celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great pride and enthusiasm. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, hoisted the national flag at Ambedkar Park, within the main administrative block of the university.
In his address, Prof. Rai extended his best wishes for the occasion. He emphasized that the day not only commemorates India's glorious history but also serves as an inspiration for the nation's progress and comprehensive development. He highlighted the university's unwavering commitment to academic excellence and social progress since its establishment. Prof. Rai noted that the university has made remarkable achievements in areas such as academic quality, administrative reforms, research, innovation, and social inclusivity. He stated that through the combined efforts of students, teachers, and staff, the university has established a unique identity across the country.
Drawing a parallel, Prof. Rai noted that just as the university is committed to achieving its goals of academic excellence, the nation is also rapidly advancing on the path of self-reliance and comprehensive development. He added that India's economy, science, technology, and cultural heritage are receiving global recognition. He stressed that education is the very foundation through which the country can be established as a prosperous, self-reliant, and strong nation. Prof. Rai appealed to everyone to contribute to the vision of a "Viksit Bharat 2047". The Vice-Chancellor concluded by urging everyone to rededicate themselves to building a self-reliant, prosperous, and strong India. The event was attended by various university officials and faculty members, including Madam Vice Chancellor Smt. Bibha Rai, Proctor Prof. B.S. Rai, Registrar Prof. Samir Kumar Sharma, Prof. Neelam Pandey, Prof. Rajeev Kumar, Prof. Alok Pratap Singh, Dr. Renubala, Dr. Navin Kumar and Pro TK Dey.
