National Sports Day was celebrated in all the districts of the valley under the theme of day is Sport to Promote Peaceful and Inclusive Societies and in this regard, various sports competitions were organized in 12 zones of Budgam district, where children showed their interest with great enthusiasm. Cycling, tug of war, chess and carom events were organized in Zone Narbal.Martial arts and volleyball competitions were played in Soibug zone and children participated in large numbers and performed brilliantly, remembering the Legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.Volleyball, tug of war and road race events are continuing in Zone Khan Sahib from Shaddam.Carom, chess and volleyball competitions were organized in Zone Chadora.In the same Zone B K Pora, children performed brilliantly under the hockey competition and Major Dhyan Chand remembered.Cricket, tug of war and volleyball competitions were held at the venue ground sports stadium in Charar Sharif zone. In the Gali Danda and tug of war event in Hardu Panzo zone, the department officials provided details to the children regarding the day and several matches were also organized.Volleyball, chess and carrom matches were played in Magam zone and Volleyball and various other competitions were played in the higher secondary of Budgam zone, while in Dreygam zone, boys as well as girls actively participated in badminton, carrom and chess competitions. It should be noted that these competitions were organized under the supervision of District Youth Services and Sports Officer Ghulam Hassan Lone.
