Budgam Cyclist Jehangir wins National Gold

Budgam,, Aug 29:It is a moment of immense pride for the entire district of Budgam as Jehangir Ahmad Ahanger, a talented student of Boys Higher Secondary School (BHSS) Magam, has brought laurels to the institution, his family and the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir by securing a Gold Medal in the U-19 Boys Road Cycling event under the 69th National School Games (NSG) held at Ranchi, Jharkhand.Jehangir Ahmad Ahanger displayed exceptional determination, stamina, discipline and sporting ability during the prestigious national-level competition, competing against talented young cyclists from different parts of the country.His outstanding performance enabled him to secure the coveted Gold Medal, marking a significant achievement in his sporting career.

The achievement is being widely appreciated by the people of Budgam and the sports fraternity, as it reflects the immense talent and potential available among the youth of Jammu & Kashmir. Jehangir's success is also a source of inspiration for other young students who aspire to excel in sports while pursuing their education.The young cyclist was also felicitated by the Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, in recognition of his remarkable sporting achievement. The felicitation has further enhanced the significance of Jehangir's success and is expected to motivate him to continue working hard and achieve greater milestones at higher levels of competition.
The achievement is equally a matter of pride for the Youth Services & Sports Department Budgam, which continues to provide platforms and opportunities to young athletes across Jammu & Kashmir to showcase their talent at district, divisional, UT and national levels.
BHSS Magam also deserves appreciation for supporting and encouraging its students to participate in sports alongside their academic pursuits.
