
Budgam, April 28: The Directorate of Youth Services & Sports Budgam, in collaboration with the District Administration Budgam, successfully organized a mega awareness event under the banner of “Run for Nasha Mukt J&K”, aimed at promoting a drug-free society and encouraging healthy lifestyles among youth.
The event was graced by Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary), Tourism Department, Govt. of J&K, Dr. Ashish Chandra Verma (IAS), who flagged off the run from Sports Stadium Budgam.The programme witnessed the esteemed presence of Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Ather Aamir Khan (IAS), SSP Budgam, DYSSO Budgam Ghulam Hassan Lone, and other senior officers and officials.
A large number of students, youth, and sports enthusiasts participated enthusiastically in the run, spreading a strong message against drug abuse and reinforcing the vision of a Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir. The participants showcased great energy and commitment towards building a healthier and addiction-free society.On the occasion, a solemn pledge was administered to all attendees, reaffirming their commitment to stay away from drugs and contribute towards a better future.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries appreciated the efforts of DYSS Budgam for consistently organizing impactful activities under the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan and motivating youth towards positive engagement through sports and awareness campaigns.
