In today's fast-paced life, people are forgetting their traditions. The result of this is that today many types of problems are arising in the country along with environmental crises. Due to which the lives of all people and animals are in danger. One of these traditions is to light earthen lamps on the festival of Diwali. People are forgetting this today and are using electronic lights in its place. But the beauty that is seen when earthen lamps are lit cannot be seen when electronic lights are lit. People themselves are accepting this and are also expressing concern over people forgetting this tradition. Lighting earthen lamps is our culture along with tradition. How can anyone forget their culture? Everyone should keep this in mind. There are many benefits of lighting earthen lamps. Mention of which can be seen and heard at many places. Therefore, everyone should light earthen lamps.
The festival of Diwali is associated with earthen lamps. It is deeply ingrained in our culture. The tradition of lighting lamps has been there since ancient times. The people of Ayodhya had lit lamps in every house in the joy of Lord Rama's return to Ayodhya; since then, there has been a tradition of celebrating this festival of lamps in the month of Kartik. The craze for artificial lights has increased in the last two decades. In the storm of modernity, we have left our ancient tradition and started bursting loud crackers with electric lighting on Diwali. On one hand, this has led to darkness in the houses of potters associated with the clay business, and on the other hand, they have put their breathing in danger by adopting crackers that cause noise and air pollution. Due to being away from their traditions, the Potter community is moving away from their ancestral business. They have started depending on other jobs. There was a time when people used to order clay diyas from the potter in advance for the Diwali festival. Then all the members of the potter's house in the village or any other village used to be busy with work.
On the Diwali festival, they used to work day and night to fulfill the orders of many people. Although there was not much income at that time, the potters also had an interest in keeping this tradition alive. But today people have gradually reduced lighting earthen lamps, due to which even potters are not taking interest in it. As a result, today people are somehow fulfilling a tradition by lighting two-four earthen lamps in the house on the Diwali festival. Most of the people are trying to illuminate their house with light on the Diwali festival by lighting electronic lights, fringes, and other lights. We are all now polluting the environment in the name of Diwali. Now we have to understand our tradition again. We have to start the tradition of lighting earthen lamps again. This kills insects. Bugs do not die due to fringes and lights. Our culture is to light lamps with mustard oil, make good dishes, eat sweets and feed them to the neighbor, give gifts to people, etc. But people are not that wise now, so crackers will be burst.
People should light earthen lamps. This will not cause pollution, and the tradition will also remain alive. Lighting earthen lamps on the Diwali festival is a tradition created by our ancestors. We all should maintain this. Lighting earthen lamps on Diwali is a very easy way to connect with our culture and nature. It is considered very auspicious and sacred in Indian culture. Earthen lamps are symbols of love, harmony, and knowledge. The beauty of diyas is well known, even on a social and economic basis. This time we have to protect our culture by taking a pledge to light earthen lamps on the day of Diwali. Everyone should light only earthen lamps. Today's young generation is more interested in electronic lights. They are using electronic lights from decorating houses to lighting diyas. Whereas it should be thought that it is on the shoulders of the youth to carry forward our culture and tradition. The potters in the village or any city still make earthen lamps. They do not have the greed for income in this, but they have the enthusiasm to maintain their culture and tradition. But people are forgetting it.
Earthen diyas should be lit to preserve tradition and the environment. They do not cause any pollution. Artificial light is harmful for eyes and skin. The light of earthen diyas provides relief to the eyes. Earthen diyas are an important part of our culture. By lighting them on Diwali, we remember our traditions. This is also a good opportunity to encourage the artisans who make earthen diyas. This Deepawali, let us all light earthen diyas together and contribute to creating a clean and green environment. People should think about this. To maintain our tradition and save the environment, this Deepawali, run a campaign to make people, especially children and youth, aware about lighting earthen diyas.
