
Leh, Feb 7: Day ten of the Royal Enfield Ice Hockey League Season 3 saw high-octane action at NDS Stadium, Leh, with Changthang Shans and Purig Warriors recording emphatic wins, while the women’s fixture between Shakar Chiktan Queens and Humas Queens ended in a 1-1 draw.
Changthang Shans dominated Changla Blasters 11-3, powered by hat-tricks from Captain Urgain Samstan and Chamba Tsetan. Purig Warriors defeated Zanskar Chadar Tamers 8-1, with Answar Huwssain completing a hat-trick. Sham Wolves edged United Nubra 3-2, and Shakar Chiktan Royals secured a 3-2 victory over Kharu Falcons with a late winner.
In the women’s match, Shakar Chiktan Queens equalised against Humas Queens to earn the season’s first tie, 1-1.
The League, organised in partnership with the UT Administration of Ladakh and the Ice Hockey Association of Ladakh, features teams from Leh, Nubra, Changthang, Sham, Kharu, Humas, Kargil, Shakar Chiktan, and Zanskar, highlighting its pan-regional reach.
Day eleven on February 8 will see matches including Changla Blasters vs Kangs Sing, Changthang Shans vs Zanskar Chadar Tamers, and women’s teams Changla Lamos vs Kharu Eagles. The semi-finals and finals will be broadcast live on Royal Enfield Social Mission YouTube channel
