The Chenab Bigbash 2023 T20 leather ball cricket tournament at sports stadium Doda ended today which had started on 15th of November 2023. As many as 32 teams participated from different parts of Jammu Division in this tournament.
The event was organised by the Doda Titans sports club in collaboration with the Diamond Youth club.
The final match was witnessed by the Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh along with Senior Superintendent of Police Abdul Qayoom besides Commander 10RR Army, MC Chairman Doda, ACR Doda, Dy Director Employment Doda, District Information Officer Doda, Tehsildar Doda, EO MC Doda,SHO Doda, Salman Suharwardy, Nadeem Wani, Umar Khoda and Irfan Malik besides other.
The final was played between Muzaffar Brothers Ala and Shining Cricket Club Doda. After winning the toss Muzaffar Brothers decided to Bat scored 165 runs in 20 overs. The highest score was 42 runs by Nitan Sharma and the Man of the match for final was Mudasir Rafiq from Shining Cricket Club Doda While man of the series title went to Sourab Katoch.
The Shining cricket club emerged victorious, winning the final by 3 wickets and scoring 168 runs. The tournament saw several teams from the region competing against each other, showcasing their skills and teamwork.
The organizers of the event were lauded for their efforts in promoting cricket in the region and providing a platform to the young talented players to showcase their abilities and talent
The winners, Shining cricket club Doda, celebrated for their outstanding performance and received the prestigious trophy.
Finally, match the Trophies and Medals were distributed amongst winners and runners as a token of encouragement.
