Srinagar, Sept 27: On the occasion of World Tourism Day, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday extended a warm invitation to travellers from across the country and the world to visit Jammu & Kashmir and experience its timeless beauty, diverse attractions and unmatched hospitality.

The CM said that from pristine mountain peaks and serene lakes to lush green valleys, Jammu & Kashmir continues to offer an unparalleled range of experiences for visitors.
He highlighted J&K’s potential as a destination for adventure sports, leisure retreats, pilgrimage circuits, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE), destination weddings, unexplored treks and film locations.
He said the Government is committed to further strengthening tourism infrastructure and creating an enabling ecosystem for the sustainable growth of the sector. The focus, he added, remains on promoting responsible and sustainable eco-tourism while ensuring that local communities and youth remain at the centre of J&K’s tourism and hospitality sector.
The CM also emphasised the importance of preserving Jammu & Kashmir’s rich cultural traditions and natural heritage while expanding tourism opportunities across the region.
Welcoming visitors with open arms, Omar called upon people from across the country and the world to discover Jammu & Kashmir, experience its warmth and hospitality, and create cherished memories in the region.
