New Delhi, June 30: Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi was today presented a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the South Block lawns in New Delhi as he relinquished office, marking the end of a distinguished military career spanning over four decades.

The ceremony reflected the formal tradition of farewell to the outgoing Army Chief, with senior military officials in attendance paying tribute to his leadership and service to the nation.
General Dwivedi’s tenure was marked by sustained focus on modernisation, operational readiness, and organisational transformation within the Indian Army. Under his leadership, the force continued its emphasis on capability enhancement, technological integration, and preparedness across diverse security challenges.
