
Itanagar, July 7: In a significant step towards promoting digital education in remote border areas, the Assam Rifles has inaugurated a Computer Learning Centre at Wakka in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The facility was inaugurated on July 4 by Colonel Ankit Harjai, SM, Commandant, 44 Assam Rifles, in collaboration with Team Desh.
The newly established Computer Learning Centre aims to enhance digital literacy and provide quality computer education to students and youth in the region, equipping them with essential technological skills required in today's digital era.
Speaking on the occasion, officials highlighted that access to digital education is crucial for empowering young people, improving employability, and bridging the digital divide in remote and underserved areas.
The initiative is expected to benefit hundreds of students by providing basic computer training, digital learning opportunities, and exposure to modern technology, enabling them to compete in higher education and employment sectors.
Local residents and community leaders welcomed the initiative and appreciated the Assam Rifles and Team Desh for strengthening educational infrastructure in the border district.
