
Srinagar, May 20: The closing ceremony of a month-long stitching and tailoring programme for women was held at Abi-Guzar near Masjid Ayesha in Lal Chowk area of Srinagar.
The programme, organized by 132 Battalion CRPF under the Civic Action Programme 2025-26, aimed at promoting skill development and self-reliance among women. Around 15 women participated in the training programme.
The event was conducted under the aegis of the Inspector General, CRPF Srinagar Sector, and was attended by Commandant 132 Battalion, officers and personnel of the battalion, SP East, SDPO Kothibagh, officials from Police Station Kothibagh and Maisuma, members of the media, and people from the local community.
During the ceremony, certificates of completion were distributed among the trainees. Three sewing machines were also handed over to the community hall to facilitate training for more women and help them undertake stitching work for livelihood generation.
