
Under the aegis of ongoing “Swachhta Hi Seva 2025” campaign and “Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan,” Directorate of Students Welfare (DSW), National Service Scheme (NSS), and the Health Centre organised a Health Camp for women, conducted a lecture on “Awareness on Health and Hygiene,” by the varsity’s Medical Officer, Dr. Abid Ahmad Sofi and distributed sanitary kits among the hygiene workers.
During the Health Camp, Medical Officer Dr. Sheeba Nazir, Medical Attendant Mr. Javid Ali and MTSS Mr. Suhail Shafi focussed on the general health checkup, free consultation and counselling. Free medicines and diet charts were also provided to the students and staff.
Under the Sewa Parv and “Swachhta Hi Seva 2025” sanitary kits were distributed among the female hygiene workers by Dr. Sheeba Nazir and Dr. Rehana Shawl to promote the healthy hygiene care among them.
Later, Dr. Abid Ahmad Medical Officer, delivered a lecture session among the students, scholars and staff focussing on the healthy lifestyle and modifications like anaemia, PCOs and other issues which women face.
Dr. Shabir Ahmad Ahanger, NSS Programme Coordinator and Associate Professor Mathematics proposed the vote of thanks.
