
Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Uddin Bhat,(IAS) today flagged off a trekking camp to the famous tourist destination Pahalgam for boys of all age groups. The flag-off ceremony was held at the DC Office Budgam.Interacting with the participating students, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged them to actively take part in such adventure-based activities and emphasized the importance of trekking in promoting physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and self-confidence among the youth. He wished the students a safe, healthy, and memorable experience during the camp.The trekking camp is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports, Budgam, under the directions of Director General, Youth Services and Sports J&K, Ms. Anuradha Gupta, and is scheduled to be held from December 17, 2025, to December 22, 2025.
On the occasion, District Youth Services and Sports Officer Budgam, Shri Ghulam Hassan Lone, along with other concerned officers and officials of the department, were present and apprised about the arrangements made for the smooth and safe conduct of the camp.The initiative aims to encourage adventure sports, promote a healthy lifestyle, and provide an opportunity to the youth to explore the scenic beauty of Jammu and Kashmir.
