Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan, today inaugurated the inter-district provincial level Kho-Kho tournament here at Model Higher Secondary School Chawalgam Kulgam.

It was informed that a total of 20 teams from 10 districts, representing two age categories (U-14 and U-17), are participating in the tournament.
On the occasion, DC interacted with the players and encouraged them to showcase zeal, discipline and sportsmanship during the event.
He said that sports play a vital role in shaping personality and character of an individual, as they inculcate discipline, teamwork and resilience, while also keeping one physically and mentally fit.
