
Srinagar May 06: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar Akshay Labroo today inspected the ongoing works on new buildings for Tehsil Office Central Shalteng and Government Middle School (GMS) Panzinara.
At the construction site for the new building for Tehsil Office Central Shalteng the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the progress of ongoing work being carried out at a cost of Rs 1.15 crore by R&B Department.
The DC was apprised that the upcoming facility will house key functional spaces including Tehsildar Room, Tehsildar Court Room, Waiting Area, Naib Tehsildar Room, Staff Room, Meeting Room, Computer Room, Establishment Section, Record Room etc.
The DC emphasized the importance of expediting the construction work and directed the executing agency to expedite the pace of work while ensuring adherence to quality standards. He underscored that the project is vital for enhancing public service delivery and strengthening revenue administration in the area.
On the occasion, the DC directed the R&B Engineers to submit a DPR for construction of new office building for Sub Divisional Magistrate(SDM), West within the same Revenue complex.
Earlier, the DC visited Government Middle School Panzinara-B, where he took stock of the ongoing infrastructure upgradation and development works. It was informed that the construction of the new school building is being carried out by the R&B Department at an estimated cost of Rs 44.13 lakh.
The DC stressed the need for timely completion of the School building, with strict adherence to prescribed quality norms to ensure improved educational facilities for students.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mir Imtiyaz Ul Aziz, IAS Probationer, Alfred Thomas, Chief Planning Officer, Fayaz Ahmad Dar, Superintending SDM West, Irfan Bahadur, Assistant Commissioner Development, Tariq Ahmad Reshi, Block Development Officer, Qamarwari, Saima Ahad, Deputy CEO. Anjum Raja, Executive Engineer, R&B, District and other District Officers.
