Srinagar, June 20: Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Saturday conducted an extensive visit to interior city areas including Mir Behri Dal and Khushipora HMT to review arrangements for the smooth observance of Muharram processions and assess local developmental needs.

He was accompanied by senior district and line department officers, including officials from SMC, R&B, PHE, Health, ICDS and other departments.
During the visit, the DC held interactions with local representatives and residents at several localities and reviewed arrangements related to sanitation, electricity, drinking water, healthcare and other essential civic services along Imambargahs and procession routes.
He directed departments to ensure seamless coordination for uninterrupted civic facilities during Muharram and emphasized timely completion of all necessary arrangements.
The DC assured residents that all genuine developmental concerns, including water supply upgrades, drainage improvement, healthcare facilities and dredging works in Dal interiors, would be taken up on priority.
