A job fair cum placement drive for the year 2022 was today organised by District Employment & Counselling Centre (DE&CC) Kulgam wherein 3 reputed private employers viz. JIO Reliance, LIC, Flakzone participated for on-spot placements.
Around 40 job seekers were shortlisted by LIC, 32 by Flakzone and 160 by JIO Telecom.
The Skill Development institution viz. ITI were also present in the event to provide skill development linkages to aspirants.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from young job seekers especially females owing to prior advertisement of Employment vacancy Notice via different media.
More then 420 candidates participated in the Job fair. The participants were given awareness regarding different self employment schemes and integration of Employment portal with National Career Services.
More than 150 candidates were registered on JK Employment Portal.
The unemployed youth from district Kulgam expressed their gratitude to District Employment and Counseling Centre Kulgam for organizing this job fair and bringing employers to their doorsteps.
