Devotees throng Hazratbal shrine to catch glimpse of holy relic

A fervent display of faith and devotion, a flood of devotees converged at the revered Hazratbal Shrine on Friday, seeking to catch a glimpse of the Holy relic, a day after the auspicious occasion of Mehraj Un Nabi (SAW).

Pilgrims from across the Kashmir valley and beyond thronged the shrine premises, adorned in traditional attire, to pay homage and offer prayers.
The atmosphere at Hazratbal was charged with spiritual fervor as devotees queued patiently, eagerly awaiting their turn to behold the sacred relic believed to be a hair strand of the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
Amidst chants of prayers and recitations from the Holy Quran, the faithful expressed gratitude for the opportunity to witness this revered symbol of their faith. Also, locals, visitors from distant regions joined the procession, underscoring the universal significance of Hazratbal shrine as a beacon of spiritual enlightenment and unity.
As the crowd swelled in thousands, local devotees shared their sentiments, expressing reverence and joy on this momentous occasion.
Tahir a local resident from Lal Bazar Srinagar said, being able to witness the Holy relic at Hazratbal Shrine fills our hearts with a profound sense of connection to our faith and our beloved Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
He added that, it's a reminder of the blessings and guidance bestowed upon us, strengthening our resolve to lead a life of virtue and compassion.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway for the upcoming celebration of the Friday following Shab-e-Mehraj, scheduled to take place on February 16. Anticipation is high among the faithful, who eagerly await the opportunity to commemorate this sacred event with prayers, supplications, and acts of charity.
