Dimapur, June 19: Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, along with all ranks of the force, paid solemn tribute to a valiant soldier who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on 19 June 1967.

The remembrance reflects the force’s deep respect and enduring gratitude towards its brave personnel who laid down their lives while serving the nation. Assam Rifles reaffirmed that the sacrifice of its martyrs continues to inspire generations of soldiers in carrying forward their duty with courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment.
On the occasion, the force honoured the memory of the fallen soldier and acknowledged his contribution to safeguarding the nation during service.
