New Delhi, Oct 21: Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, attended the Police Commemoration Day Parade at the National Police Memorial in New Delhi on October 21, 2025. The solemn ceremony honored the martyrs of the Central Armed Police Forces, State Police Forces, and Union Territories Police who laid down their lives in the line of duty.

The event was presided over by Shri Rajnath Singh, Hon’ble Defence Minister of India, and attended by senior officials from CAPFs, State Police Forces, and the Ministry of Home Affairs.
During the parade, wreaths were laid, and a Guard of Honour was presented, paying homage to the bravery and sacrifice of the personnel. Lt Gen Lakhera, along with other dignitaries, participated in the ceremonies, reaffirming Assam Rifles’ commitment to supporting and honoring the nation’s security forces.
The commemoration highlighted the valor, dedication, and selflessness of police personnel across India, emphasizing the importance of remembering their supreme sacrifices for the safety and security of the nation.
