Shillong, July 27: The Director General of Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, along with all ranks of the force, paid solemn tribute to a brave soldier who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on 25 July 1993.

Remembering the fallen hero, the Assam Rifles honoured his courage, dedication and unwavering commitment towards safeguarding the nation. The force acknowledged the supreme sacrifice of the soldier and reaffirmed its respect for all personnel who have laid down their lives in service of the country.
