Dimapur May 22: Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of Assam Rifles, along with all ranks of the force, paid solemn tribute to the brave soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty on 22 May.

The ceremony was held in remembrance of the fallen personnel whose courage, dedication, and unwavering commitment to duty continue to inspire the force. Senior officers and troops observed solemn remembrance in honour of the martyrs who laid down their lives while serving in challenging and sensitive operational environments.
The Director General, along with personnel across formations, saluted the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers, acknowledging their vital contribution to maintaining peace, security, and stability in difficult and often hostile conditions.
In his message, the leadership reaffirmed that the sacrifices of the fallen heroes will never be forgotten and that their legacy remains deeply embedded in the ethos of Assam Rifles. The force reiterated its commitment to uphold the highest traditions of service, courage, and dedication in honour of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
