DG Assam Rifles visits NIEDO centre

Chumoukedima, Dec 6: Lt Gen Vikas Lakhera, AVSM, SM, Director General of AssamRifles, visited the Subedar P B Chhetri Kirti Chakra Centre of Excellence at the NIEDO Centre in Ghaspani, Chumoukedima, on 6 December 2025. The visit was part of ongoing efforts to support NEET and JEE aspirants receiving coaching under the Assam Rifles–NIEDO partnership.

During his visit, the DG interacted personally with the students, motivating them to remain focused, disciplined, and committed to their academic goals. He reviewed their progress, study routines, and performance, while also inspecting classrooms, hostel facilities, and learning infrastructure to ensure a conducive educational environment.
Lt Gen Lakhera appreciated the holistic support ecosystem created at the centre, emphasizing the critical role of mentorship, quality education, and overall development in shaping successful futures. He encouraged the students to leverage the opportunities provided, stressing that perseverance and discipline are key to achieving excellence in competitive examinations.
The visit reinforced Assam Rifles’ commitment to nurturing talent in the Northeast and bridging educational opportunities for youth in the region.
