
Agartala, Jan 3: Brigadier Nishant Chandel, Deputy Inspector General of 21 Sector, Assam Rifles, called on Shri N. Indrasena Reddy, Governor of Tripura, and Shri Jitendra Kumar Sinha, IAS, Chief Secretary of the state, to discuss security and civil–military initiatives in Tripura.
During the meeting, Brigadier Chandel briefed the dignitaries on the prevailing security situation, highlighting measures taken by Assam Rifles to maintain peace and stability in sensitive areas. He also outlined various initiatives aimed at strengthening civil–military cooperation, including community engagement programs, welfare activities, and coordination with local administration to address public concerns.
The Governor and Chief Secretary appreciated the Assam Rifles’ proactive approach in ensuring safety, development, and people-centric outreach in the region.
