Kupwara, Nov 1: The Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Kupwara, today organised a warm and heartfelt farewell function to bid adieu to Ghulam Nabi Mir on his superannuation after more than 30 years of dedicated service to the department.

The farewell function was held at Handwara under the chairmanship of District Information Officer (DIO), Kupwara, Aadil Manzoor Wani.
Speaking on the occasion, the DIO lauded the sincere, dedicated and unblemished service rendered by Mir during his tenure in the department. He described him as an honest, hardworking and committed official who consistently discharged his duties with dedication, sincerity and professionalism.
On behalf of the entire staff, the DIO extended his best wishes to the retiring official for a happy, healthy and fulfilling post-retirement life.
Colleagues and staff members also shared their experiences of working with the retiring official and appreciated his cordial disposition, punctuality and ever-helpful attitude towards colleagues.
In his remarks, Ghulam Nabi Mir expressed gratitude to the DIO and all staff members for the affection, respect and cooperation extended to him throughout his service career.
As a token of appreciation and affection, the DIO, along with the staff, felicitated the retiring official with a memento and a shawl.
