To tackle traffic congestion and ensure smooth movement on the Rambagh-Natipora–Chanapora road, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, conducted a spot inspection of Natipora Junction and Barzulla underpass.

During the visit, Garg reviewed the traffic situation and issued directions for strategic interventions. He instructed the Public Works Department (PWD) to construct a T-junction at Natipora using available Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) land to ease traffic flow.
The Div Com also directed the PWD to remove structures along the right-side bund road of Doodh Ganga and establish connectivity from Barzulla to Sanatnagar Flyover via the left-side bund road. While inspecting the Barzulla Bridge underpass, Garg emphasized extending the bund road to IG Road to prevent wrong-side traffic from Bridge to Rambagh Chowk.
Additionally, he asked the PWD to initiate land acquisition with CRPF for road widening and prepare detailed “before and after” drawings of the proposed road layout.
The inspection was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, SSP Traffic, senior PWD officials, and the CRPF Commanding Officer.
