Dominant wins in YSS-JKSC Cricket League

Jammu, Mar 9: Kathua Heros, Udhampur Fighters and Rajouri Leopards registered convincing victories in their respective matches in the ongoing YSS-JKSC Cricket League played at MA Stadium, Jammu, on Monday.

In the first match of the day, Rajouri Indians opted to bat first after winning the toss but struggled to build momentum and managed to post 106/8 in their allotted 20 overs. Captain Suhail Dar led the scoring with a brisk 36 off 29 balls, hitting seven boundaries, while Kashif Dar remained unbeaten on 28 off 26 deliveries to push the total past the 100-run mark. Earlier, Rajouri lost Mubashar Bhat and Lone Zaheen cheaply, putting the side under early pressure.
For Kathua Heros, Ram Dayal and Rohit Sharma were the most successful bowlers, claiming two wickets each with identical figures of 2/18.
Chasing a modest target of 107, Kathua Heros completed the run chase comfortably in 11.1 overs, losing just one wicket. Puri Abhinav anchored the innings with an unbeaten 45 off 32 balls, while Ram Dayal added a quick 42 not out off 22 balls, smashing six fours and a six. Saksham (11) was the only wicket to fall, dismissed by Anwar Ul Haq.
In the second match, Ramban Eagles chose to bat first but were restricted to 103 runs in 18.1 overs. Shalien Rana top-scored with 42 off 34 balls, hitting six fours and a six, while Mohd Amaan Dar contributed 21 runs. However, the rest of the batting lineup failed to build partnerships.
Udhampur Fighters dominated with the ball as Gourav Khajuria picked up 3/19, while Munish and Sunil Kumar took two wickets each.
In reply, Udhampur Fighters chased down the target without losing a wicket in 11.2 overs. Gourav Khajuria capped an impressive all-round performance with an unbeaten 54 off 41 balls, supported by Neekhil Singh who scored an unbeaten 37 off 28 deliveries.
In the third match, Poonch Badshahs were bundled out for just 50 runs in 13.1 overs after electing to bat first. Sheikh Mehboob was the top scorer with 16 runs, while Sohail Irfan added 11. The rest of the batting lineup failed to reach double figures.
Rajouri Leopards bowlers dominated the innings, with Aasif Manzoor returning impressive figures of 2/8 in four overs, including a maiden. Arjun Singh also claimed two wickets, while Bilal Ahmed and Piyush Sharma chipped in with one each.
Chasing a small target of 51, Rajouri Leopards completed the chase in just 4.1 overs with the loss of one wicket. Adil Wani played a blistering knock of 30 not out off 10 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes, while Bilal Ahmed remained unbeaten on 14. Captain Ishtiyak Rasool scored 6 runs before being dismissed.
With these emphatic victories, Kathua Heros, Udhampur Fighters and Rajouri Leopards strengthened their positions in the league standings.
