BJP National Executive Member, Minister of State, and Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, addressed a press conference in Anantnag during a special program organised by the BJP to mark the completion of 11 years of Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre.
During her address, Dr. Andrabi outlined the key achievements and reforms undertaken by the Modi government over the past decade, stating that the Prime Minister has successfully transformed India’s governance model through bold, transparent, and visionary leadership.
“Modiji corrected the wrongs of previous regimes and ensured India’s rise as a global power,” she said, adding that his leadership has fostered a system free from scams, corruption, and administrative irregularities.
She elaborated on several flagship welfare schemes, such as Make in India, Digital India, Skill India, Khelo India, Aayushman Bharat, PM Awaas Yojana, and Direct Benefit Transfers, asserting that these initiatives have uplifted the poor and marginalised, boosted grassroots development, and strengthened the foundation of a self-reliant Bharat.
Highlighting the success of digital initiatives, she praised the role of UPI in revolutionising India’s economy and praised the government's efforts in maintaining control over inflation despite global challenges.
“India now has the highest economic growth rate and stands as the fourth-largest economy in the world. Soon, we will become the third,” she stated.
Calling this period the "golden era of India", she referred to landmark decisions such as Operation Sindoor and the abrogation of Article 370, which she said have reinforced India's image as a decisive and sovereign power. According to Dr. Andrabi, the revocation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status marked the beginning of a new era of peace and development in the region.
She also pointed to the reconstitution of the J&K Waqf Board under the Central Act as an example of inclusive reform, stating it has led to unprecedented development and transparency in Waqf affairs.
“Inclusive and visionary development across all sectors has made life easier for the common citizen. This Amrit Kaal is laying the groundwork for a Viksit Bharat,” she concluded.
BJP District President Rakesh Koul and other senior party office bearers were also present during the event.
