The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has proposed winter vacations in a phased manner from the second week of December for the schools in the Valley.
As per the proposal submitted by the DSEK, the winter vacation for classes up to 2nd primary has been proposed from December 9 till February 24, 2025.
The vacation for classes from 3rd primary to class 12th has been proposed from December 16 to February 24, 2025.
The calls for early winter vacation are growing shriller in the wake of intense cold wave conditions in the Valley.
Kashmir is reeling under intense cold from the past more than two weeks. The Valley has also been experiencing heavy dense fog in the morning.
