A Seerat Conference was held at Dubai Grand International School HMT Srinagar. The event was organized by the department of Arabic and Islamic studies in collaboration with DGIS family. The ground staff and educators participated in the categories of Tilawat, Naat & Seerat.

Chairman of the DGIS Mr. Mohammad Hanief Bhat presided over the function. The event was supervised by the school principal Mr. Parvaiz Ahmad Paul .On the occasion the speakers dwelt upon the life and teachings of the Prophet (SAW) and urged to follow His teachings.
Describing the Prophet (SAW) as a savior of mankind they said that His teachings are relevant today when violence and intolerance has increased in the world.
An intra school Seerat quiz competition was also held, where lower primary departments won and were felicitated with an award. However, the upper primary and primary department bagged second and third position respectively. (CNS)
