
Ganderbal, May 06: Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Ganderbal organised volleyball and kabaddi competitions for boys and girls across all four zones—Kangan, Ganderbal, Hariganwan, and Tulmullah—under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan.
The activities witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and physical fitness among youth. The events were organised with the objective of engaging students in positive and constructive activities while spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse.
District Youth Services and Sports Officer Ganderbal, Sheikh Shafqat Iqbal, appreciated the active participation of boys and girls and the dedicated efforts of the field staff. He emphasized the importance of sports in encouraging a healthy, disciplined, and drug-free lifestyle among youth.
The programme concluded successfully with a strong message promoting fitness, awareness, and social responsibility.
