In Jammu, Eid congregations would be held at Jammu's Eid Gah and Makkah Masjid, where hundreds of faithful are expected to participate in congregational prayers.
On the Eid eve, markets across Jammu and Kashmir remained crowded with shoppers despite rain and chill.
Meanwhile, Valley bids tearful farewell to the holy month of Ramadan on the Jumat-ul-Vida, the last Friday prayers of Ramadan.
Devotees gathered in large numbers at mosques and shrines across the Valley and parts of Jammu, with many lingering longer than usual, reluctant to let go of the spiritual calm Ramadan brings.
At the historic Jamia Masjid Srinagar, thousands offered congregational prayers.
It was after seven years that Jumat-ul-Vida prayers were offered at Jamia Masjid.
