
Dinjan , Mar 20: The Director General of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers (EME) under Indian Army, Lt Gen Ajay Kumar Sharma, on Friday reviewed the technical preparedness of “Dao Eagles” under the Spear Corps at Dinjan Military Station in Assam.
During the visit, the General Officer assessed the operational readiness and maintenance standards of critical military equipment, emphasizing the importance of sustained technical efficiency in ensuring mission success. The review was conducted under the aegis of the Eastern Command, which oversees strategic operations in the region.
A key highlight of the visit was the inspection of the newly established NGE (Next Generation Equipment) Hub. The facility is aimed at enhancing repair, maintenance and lifecycle management of modern military systems, thereby strengthening operational capabilities in forward areas. Lt Gen Sharma evaluated the infrastructure, technical processes and the integration of advanced systems within the hub.
Interacting with officers and personnel, the EME Chief commended all ranks for maintaining equipment in a mission-ready state under challenging conditions. He stressed that technological preparedness and efficient logistics form the backbone of combat readiness, particularly in strategically sensitive regions like the Northeast.
