The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Regional Office, Jammu, today celebrated the second anniversary of the "Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0" initiative with a special awareness and grievance redressal program held here in the Conference Hall, DC Office.
The event was presided over by the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner Rizwan Uddin, who addressed grievances of workers and employers while providing essential handholding support.
Launched in January 2023, "Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0" aims to strengthen the connection between EPFO and its stakeholders by promoting awareness about social security provisions, digital services, and fraud prevention.
The EPFO highlighted key themes such as grievances filing mechanisms, UAN activation, e-nomination, and other online services. A special Pension Help Desk was set up to address on-the-spot pension-related queries, while discussions were held on enhanced benefits under the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976, which now offers coverage of up to ₹7 lakh.
The event witnessed active participation from contractors, private schools, and representatives of the government departments, along with beneficiaries from diverse sectors.
Assistant Labour Commissioner Nehal Pandit, CEO P.L. Thapa, and other stakeholders were present to emphasize the importance of extending social security benefits to eligible employees from the beginning of their employment.
The program also focused on initiatives like e-nomination, online claim filing, and employer dashboards, ensuring a robust exchange of information and services for stakeholders.
The EPFO encouraged all participants to continue promoting social security awareness and maximize the benefits available under the EPF and MP Act, 1952, for the welfare of employees across the region.
