The Employee's Provident Fund Organisation, Regional Office Srinagar, on Sunday organised a Pension Payment Order distribution ceremony at the Conference Hall of its Regional Office at Batamaloo, marking a significant step towards strengthening pension services for its staff pensioners.

During the programme, Pension Payment Orders were formally distributed to already retired employees of EPFO Regional Office Kashmir by Vinay Kumar, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Srinagar.
Addressing the gathering, Vinay Kumar appreciated the efforts of the Regional Office Srinagar for successfully initiating the Centralised Pension Processing Cell system for staff pensioners. He said the implementation of the CPPC system would ensure timely and hassle free disbursement of pensions, while also improving transparency and operational efficiency.
He highlighted that the centralised system has been designed to provide greater convenience to pensioners by minimising delays and reducing procedural bottlenecks, thereby enhancing trust in the pension administration mechanism.
On the occasion, Social Security Assistant Yasir Gowhar Mir was presented the Best Employee of the Month award for December 2025 in recognition of his outstanding contribution towards the generation of Pension Payment Orders and the successful operationalisation of the CPPC system for staff pensioners of EPFO Regional Office Srinagar.
The ceremony was attended by officers and staff of the EPFO Regional Office Srinagar, along with retired employees. The pensioners expressed satisfaction over the improved pension processing system and welcomed the move towards a more streamlined and transparent pension disbursement framework.
