Srinagar, Jan 22: At least three flights to and from Srinagar Airport were cancelled on Thursday following a NOTAM issued at Delhi Airport due to Republic Day arrangements, officials said.
The cancellations affected flights on the Srinagar–Delhi sector, a key hub connecting Kashmir with the rest of the country. Passengers were advised to check with airlines for updated schedules and rebooking options.
Airport authorities expressed regret over the inconvenience caused, noting that such disruptions are common around major national events due to enhanced security and temporary airspace restrictions. Travelers were seen waiting at terminals and contacting airline counters amid freezing weather conditions.
No further cancellations have been announced so far, but flight operations will continue to depend on air traffic clearance at Delhi Airport during the Republic Day period
