Srinagar: The famed floating Post Office on Dal Lake near Nehru Park area drowned on Saturday morning due to unknown reasons.
However after strenuous efforts officials tried to save the record.
According to a local news agency, floating Post Office in Nehru Park area which was located in House Boat has immersed due to unknown reason. Notably the said Post Office was unique in nature as this kind of Post Office does nowhere exist in India. This was the second one floating Post Office after Malaysia.
However sources said, that soon the incident happened, the concerned officials along with local people tried to save the record. “After strenuous efforts, officials and local people jointly saved the record to minimize the loss”, an official said. (KNS)
